Yes, there is a Lane
Lane Brettschneider’s parents and grandparents owned a floor covering store in Brooklyn, New York starting in the early 1900’s. Following in his family’s tradition, Lane started his own flooring business in 1965, in Queens, New York. In 1989, the business moved to Manhattan after evolving into a contract carpet business. The business — quite literally —covers all marketing segments of the flooring industry on a local and national level.
Today, Lane’s is a backed by RD WEIS, a full-service commercial flooring provider offering sustainable and environmentally safe carpet and floor care, maintenance, installation, cleaning, and disinfection.

Our Showroom
Our showroom is unique to say the least. We try to make your visit here one that you’ll enjoy and remember always. Our contract library literally holds thousands of carpet & resilient selections. We also carry hundreds of high end residential carpet samples to choose from or if you feel creative you can create a totally custom design using an array of fibers including, nylon, wool, silk, viscose, cotton, linen and more. If you’re having a hard time deciding, you can take a look around our showroom for inspiration and find; a Fortune Teller, a Talking Deer, a Giraffe, a family of Sheep, and 2 Curly Coated Retrievers not to mention the 6 Slot Machines, a Professional Espresso Machine and a Wine Cellar with about 500 bottles of great vintage wines.
